Calais is 6-1 against Jonesport-Beals since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Royals at 4:00 p.m. Calais is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Calais will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Houlton, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Devils walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Shiretowners on Friday.

Noah White was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaeson Dana, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Jonesport-Beals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to Narraguagus.

Jonesport-Beals' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Calais, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Calais took their victory against Jonesport-Beals in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 22-0 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
