Basketball Recap: Bear Grass Charter Find Success

Bear Grass Charter won the last time they faced Columbia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bear Grass Charter Bears walked away with a 68-57 win over the Columbia Wildcats.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evan McQuigg, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points. McQuigg also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Sawyer, who went 5 for 12 en route to 16 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Bear Grass Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Columbia, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Bear Grass Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-42 defeat against Holmes on the 29th. Columbia has also already played their next contest (against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
