After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meridian, Century was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 62-57 W over the Egyptian Pharaohs. The Centurions haven't had any issues with the Pharaohs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Egyptian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damarion Clark, who posted 22 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendrick Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Century's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Egyptian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Century won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pope County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Egyptian, they will face off against Agape Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
