Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aliyah Kenney and Ava Carey Lead Amherst-Pelham Regional to Victory

Amherst-Pelham Regional won the last time they faced Agawam and things went their way on Monday too. The Hurricanes walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Brownies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

The win didn't come easy: Agawam scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 17-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Leading Amherst-Pelham Regional to victory were Ava Carey and Aliyah Kenney. Carey had 13 digs and two aces, while Kenney had 13 digs and three assists. What's more, Kenney posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Amherst-Pelham Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matchups.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Agawam, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
