Basketball Recap: Butler County Beats Madisonville-North Hopkins for Their Third Straight Win

Butler County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took down the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons 85-69. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by exactly 16 points.

Butler County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Briar Griffin, who almost dropped a triple-double with 14 points, ten boards, and nine assists. Those ten rebounds gave Griffin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Price, who posted 26 points and six assists.

Butler County's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Coming up, Butler County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Edmonson County at 7:30 p.m. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will challenge Lyon County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
