Juan Diego Catholic had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Ayen Kuath did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Soaring Eagle walked away with a 37-30 win over the Roy Royals with plenty of help from Kuath, who posted four points along with 17 rebounds and four blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played.

Roy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Quincy Hoover, who scored five points and seven boards. Jazzi Prieto was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

The victory got Juan Diego Catholic back to even at 1-1.

Juan Diego Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-42 win against Juab on the 21st. As for Roy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-16 defeat against Syracuse on the 21st.
