Basketball Game Preview: Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs vs. Logan Elm Braves

Bloom-Carroll has gone 9-1 against Logan Elm recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Braves at 7:00 p.m. Bloom-Carroll is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Bloom-Carroll came up short against Fairfield Union and fell 53-44. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their defeat, Bloom-Carroll saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Josie Burr, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards, was perhaps the best of all. With that strong performance, Burr is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Whitney Passen was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Logan Elm, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They snuck past Liberty Union with a 63-58 win on Tuesday. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Lions are ranked 295th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Logan Elm pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 60.2 points this season. As for Bloom-Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Bloom-Carroll came up short against Logan Elm in their previous matchup back in January, falling 49-44. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
