Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside suffered their biggest defeat since March 9th on Saturday. They lost 12-1 to the Yazoo County Panthers. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Yazoo County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yazoo County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Vicksburg at 7:00 p.m. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.55 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
