Softball Recap: Lehman Catholic Has No Trouble Against Troy Christian

Lehman Catholic came out on top against Troy Christian on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Cavaliers blew past the Eagles 10-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 back in April.

Bailey Cotterman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Sarah Burkhardt was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla Platfoot, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
