Volleyball Recap: Beverly Takes a Loss

Beverly lost against Marblehead back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Magicians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since October 22, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Beverly still got an impressive performance from Sophia Balducci, who had 16 digs.

Marblehead was led to victory by Sydney Faris and Sydney Da Silva. Faris had seven digs and five aces, while Da Silva had seven digs and two assists. Faris has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last ten times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Beverly and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Marblehead, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Beverly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Bishop Fenwick on the 19th. As for Marblehead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Burlington on the 19th.
