Baseball Recap: Grimsley Comes Up Short

Grimsley and Ballantyne Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Grimsley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Whirlies have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Grimsley and nudges their season record down to 21-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Ballantyne Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-17.

As of now, neither Grimsley nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
