Volleyball Recap: Platte Valley Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Platte Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Timnath Cubs by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

While Platte Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Timnath scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Laque Premo paced Platte Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Premo got some help from Megan Hunt and her 27 assists. Hunt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platte Valley will head out to face off against Wiggins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Timnath, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Jefferson Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
