Baseball Recap: Highland Rams vs. Alta Hawks

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alta Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Highland of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.

Ryken Bennett and Alex Just did some serious damage despite the final result: Bennett went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, while Just scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Highland will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brighton is coming into the contest with five straight wins at home, so Highland will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Alta will take on Olympus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Olympus likes a good challenge.
