Winthrop is 9-1 against Madison since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Winthrop Ramblers are taking a road trip to face off against the Madison Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Winthrop was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to Maranacook. The Ramblers have struggled against the Black Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Madison won against Oak Hill on Wednesday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Madison walked away with a 48-37 win over Oak Hill. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Madison is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Winthrop, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Winthrop didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Madison in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 40-36 victory. Does Winthrop have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
