Vermilion Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Oakdale Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vermilion Catholic pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Oakdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-14.
