Baseball Game Preview: Field Falcons vs. Eastern Ramblers

The Field Falcons will square off against the Eastern Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Field, who comes in off a win.

While Field's victory against St. Anselm's Abbey wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Panthers 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Panthers since April 6, 2016.

Meanwhile, Eastern suffered their biggest defeat since March 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Lackey, falling 9-3.

Eastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rasheed Hardy, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Hardy is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Zyair Smith, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Field's victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Eastern, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5-1.
