Baseball Recap: Indian Trail Triumphs

Indian Trail won the last time they faced Kenosha Bradford and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 8-4.

Sam Callow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Connor Peck looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Back at the plate, Jack Zeller and Connor Shada did most of the damage at the plate: Zeller went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple, while Shada scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Zeller has posted since back in April of 2024. Nate Geraghty was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Indian Trail back to even at 2-2. As for Kenosha Bradford, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Indian Trail will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
