Baseball Recap: Ayden - Grifton Has No Trouble Against Washington

While Ayden - Grifton put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Washington. The Chargers put the hurt on the Pam Pack with a sharp 6-0 win. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Jack Ewell was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Cam Smith also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ayden - Grifton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Washington, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Looking ahead, Ayden - Grifton will take on Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Stallions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Washington, they will square off against Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
