Volleyball Recap: Kennedy's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Kennedy came into Tuesday's matchup having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Arrupe Jesuit Generals on Tuesday.

The victory didn't come easy: Arrupe Jesuit scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 10-25, 25-19.

Kennedy was led to victory by Sebastian Palacio and Thanh Le. Palacio had seven aces, while Le had 11 kills and five aces. Le is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season.

Andres Silva and Juan Herrada certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Silva had four digs and four aces, while Herrada had four aces.

Kennedy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will welcome Overland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Overland will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kennedy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle Ridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Arrupe Jesuit their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
