Recap: Potter-Dix Coyotes vs. Peetz Bulldogs

The Potter-Dix Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Peetz, falling 85-38. Potter-Dix was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Peetz apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Mcconnell, who scored 14 points. Trenton Hickman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Potter-Dix struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Peetz's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Naegele led the charge by scoring 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Naegele has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhyder Bayne, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists.

Potter-Dix has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Peetz, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Potter-Dix will head out on the road to take on Arthur County on Friday. Hopefully Potter-Dix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Peetz, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Otis at 7:30 p.m. Peetz is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
