Recap: Mineral Wells Rams vs. Levelland Lobos
The Mineral Wells Rams and the Levelland Lobos squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Mineral Wells Rams had to settle for second. They fell 43-31 to the Lobos. While losing is never fun, Mineral Wells can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while Levelland is ranked 89th).
Despite the loss, Mineral Wells still got an impressive performance from Kahlea Samples, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Mineral Wells has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season. As for Levelland, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-2.
Mineral Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Levelland, they will square off against Krum at TBD on Thursday. Levelland is coming into the match with nine straight victories on the road, so Krum is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
