Volleyball Recap: Summers County Comes Up Short

If Summers County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Meadow Bridge on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday.

While Summers County was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16.

Summers County dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Summers County and Mount Hope Christian Academy will both be playing Greenbrier West the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Cavaliers on Thursday, while the Bobcats will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
