Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Fort Walton Beach

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Walton Beach walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Arnold Marlins on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight.

Rilyn Douglas spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Hannah Isham was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Fort Walton Beach's record is now 18-8. As for Arnold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Fort Walton Beach nor Arnold have any future games scheduled.
