Romulus has gone 10-0 against Thurston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Romulus Eagles will square off against the Thurston Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Romulus is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Crestwood just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thurston). They claimed a resounding 97-4 win over Melvindale. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 30 points or more this season.

Thurston is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Romulus, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Romulus didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Thurston in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Romulus since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
