Lydia Gardner Game Report: vs St. James

On Monday Lydia Gardner tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The performance also marked the fewest earned runs (zero) Gardner has had since March 1st. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her eighth in a row with less than two walks. For the season, she has an ERA of 2.75 over 28 innings pitched.

Even though Gardner couldn't lead Carolina Forest over St. James, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carolina Forest has some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2022, but a win here would be a good start.
