Football Recap: Branson/Kim Bearcats vs. Kiowa Indians

Branson/Kim took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Kiowa Indians 55-7 at home.

Kolter Cranson was a one-man wrecking crew for Branson/Kim as he rushed for 218 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown. Cranson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season. Will Doherty was another key rusher, rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns.

Branson/Kim's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Acoya Bartlett and David Gamez. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Branson/Kim was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 417 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiowa only gained 41.

Branson/Kim will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Granada at 11:00 a.m. As for Kiowa, they will square off against La Veta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kiowa is looking for their season?s first win.
