Softball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Daphne Trojans.

Smiths Station's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17-1. As for Daphne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

Smiths Station wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-7 win against Opelika on the 8th. As for Daphne, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Baldwin County on the 5th.
