Basketball Recap: Vermillion Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Vermillion was feeling good fresh off their 81-29 takedown of Sioux Falls Lutheran last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vermillion Tanagers fell just short of the West Central Trojans by a score of 64-62 on Tuesday. The Tanagers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Vermillion's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for West Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Vermillion and Crofton will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Central will take on Groton in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
