Seventy-First never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Douglas Byrd Eagles to the tune of 63-0. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jayson Franklin and Shon Pone. Franklin rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries while Pone gained 111 total yards and three touchdowns. Franklin's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Seventy-First's record is now 5-1. As for Douglas Byrd, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Seventy-First will square off against rival St. Pauls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
