Soccer Recap: Sumter Comes Up Short

Sumter lost against Spring Valley back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sumter Gamecocks lost 4-0 to the Spring Valley Vikings. The Gamecocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sumter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Spring Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Sumter will challenge Lugoff-Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumter will be up against Lugoff-Elgin's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.43 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Spring Valley, they will square off against Blythewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
