Football Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

After flying high against Middlesex last Friday, West Point came back down to earth. The Pointers were beaten by the Maret Frogs 51-8 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pointers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 313th in Virginia, while the Frogs are ranked seventh in District of Columbia).

West Point has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Maret, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, West Point will head out to take on Middlesex at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maret, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Flint Hill at 4:30 p.m. This will be the Frogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
