Baseball Recap: Trinidad Comes Up Short

Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to the Ignacio Bobcats. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Miners' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Trinidad saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Trinidad's record is now 0-4. As for Ignacio, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ignacio beat Trinidad by a score of 14-4 later that day.
