Volleyball Recap: Julia Hoekstra Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Guajome Park Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orange Glen, Calvin Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Guajome Park Academy Frogs 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 7th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.

Calvin Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julia Hoekstra out in front who had 15 kills, three digs, and two aces. Those 15 kills gave Hoekstra a new career-high. Lucy Gordon was another key player, getting seven kills, seven digs, and three aces.

Calvin Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Guajome Park Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Calvin Christian nor the Frogs have any future games scheduled.
