Baseball Recap: Hedgesville Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Hedgesville came up short against Landstown, falling 11-1.

Hedgesville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Pence, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Cash Dunham also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hedgesville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Landstown, their record now sits at 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hedgesville will square off against Kellam at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Landstown, they will challenge First Colonial at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
