Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arcola). Everything went their way against the Heritage Hawks on Thursday as they made off with a 22-7 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Purple Riders considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Arcola's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Heritage, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Arcola has already played their next match, a 10-6 defeat against Martinsville on the 11th. As for Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
