Basketball Game Preview: Edison Chargers vs. Fountain Valley Barons

The Edison Chargers will face off against the Fountain Valley Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Edison came up short against Marina and fell 64-57.

Fountain Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 74-65 to Los Alamitos on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Barons still had to take the loss.

Edison's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Fountain Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Edison was able to grind out a solid win over Fountain Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 61-54. Will Edison repeat their success, or does Fountain Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
