East Central lost to Southport back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Cardinals on their court since August 22, 2020.

The win made it two in a row for East Central and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Southport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

East Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lafayette Jefferson on the 23rd. As for Southport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 23rd.
