Basketball Game Preview: North Forsyth Vikings vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies

Two dominant guards in Kerry Smith and Loucas Shoaf are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The North Forsyth Vikings will take on the Oak Grove Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Forsyth has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 21.

North Forsyth is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Walkertown on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Forsyth had to suffer through a 69-23 loss at the hands of Walkertown. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-8.

Ledford typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Oak Grove proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 76-70 W over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Oak Grove's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for North Forsyth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
