Football Recap: Highland Falls to Westlake in First Game of Season

Highland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Westlake Thunder and fell 47-14. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Westlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but BOSTEN FOUNTAINE led the charge by throwing for 127 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one rushing score. DYLAN BLAKEY was another key back, rushing for 126 yards on only eight carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will face off against Hunter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westlake, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
