Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Severance). They breezed past the Wellington Eagles to the tune of 68-28 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-29 back in January.

Despite the loss, Wellington had strong showings from Ava Essay, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 16 points, and Brookelyn Jones, who posted six points along with six boards and five blocks. The dominant performance also gave Essay a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%).

Severance's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Wellington, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Severance will head out to face off against Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Severance has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wellington, they will be playing at home against Berthoud at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
