Baseball Game Preview: Apostolic Christian Academy Flames vs. Maryville Christian Eagles

Apostolic Christian Academy is 0-5 against Maryville Christian since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Flames will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Apostolic Christian Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Apostolic Christian.

Apostolic Christian Academy let Hunter Nichols and Dalton Book run wild. Nichols got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four RBI and two runs, while Book went 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs. Grant Fragasso was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Benjamin Paddock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Zay Cunningham, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Apostolic Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Maryville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Apostolic Christian Academy suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Maryville Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Flames avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
