Preview: Ripley Vikings vs. Winfield Generals
After four games on the road, Ripley is heading back home. They will take on the Winfield Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Ripley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to Chapmanville Regional.
Meanwhile, Winfield came up short against Sissonville on Tuesday and fell 44-35.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brooklyn Cole, who scored three points along with five rebounds and four steals. Kaitlyn Sayre was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Ripley dropped their record down to 7-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Winfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
