Football Recap: Cookeville Takes a Loss

Cookeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the White County Warriors on the road by a 21-7 margin. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Easton Davidson threw for 90 yards on 11 of 26 attempts. Nicholas Johnson was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Cole Sims went supernova For White County., rushing for 185 yards and two scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Sims a new career-high.

Cookeville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for White County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Cookeville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 47-24 defeat against Gallatin on the 12th. As for White County, they have also already played their next match, a 24-13 win against Tullahoma on the 12th.
