Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oregon City Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 last Tuesday.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Oregon City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Franklin has already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Corvallis on the 5th. As for Oregon City, they will be playing at home against Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
