Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Gets the Win

Cornerstone Christian won the last time they faced Hamilton and things went their way on Monday too. The Crusaders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bobcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-17.

Kaylee Galyon was nothing short of spectacular: she had 26 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last four matchups. Natalie Alexander was another key player, getting ten digs and three assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Cornerstone Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in 20 consecutive contests.

Cornerstone Christian's victory bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Hamilton, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-8.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Cornerstone Christian and Bell Gardens will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Hamilton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against United Christian Academy on the 15th.
