Baseball Game Preview: Charlotte S Stampede vs. Butler Bulldogs

The Charlotte S Stampede will take on the Butler Bulldogs in a tournament on Wednesday. Charlotte S will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Charlotte S picked up another tournament win on Monday. They came out on top against Mallard Creek by a score of 7-2.

Tate Johnston looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Charlotte S: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-11 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Shaw, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tim Barry, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Butler lost 13-7 to Pro Stock Royals Academy on Tuesday.

Bryce Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Charlotte S' victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Butler, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
