Central Valley Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Oneida Express as they made off with a 70-44 victory. The win continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Express: they've now won nine in a row.
Leading Central Valley Academy to victory were Calvin Jacquays and Brayden Smalls. Jacquays went 9-for-18 to rack up 24 points, while Smalls shot 47% from the field en route to 17 points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Vogel, who posted four points along with nine assists and four steals.
Looking ahead, Central Valley Academy will challenge Whitesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oneida, they will head out to take on New Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
