Mountain View came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Montrose Meteors. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Meteors back in April, they had to take a 8-7 loss.

Mountain View's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Ziggy Bradford was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Montrose, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will host Forest City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Montrose, they will be playing at home against Old Forge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
