Baseball Recap: San Diego Cavers vs. Clairemont Chieftains
San Diego extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 7-19-1 in the process. They came up short against the Clairemont Chieftains, falling 14-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.
As for Clairemont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.
For Clairemont's part, Bo Osland was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Osland has posted since back in April. Brendan Weiss was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clairemont beat San Diego by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.
