Loudoun County is 9-1 against Heritage since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Captains will be playing at home against the Pride at 7:00 p.m. Loudoun County's defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so Heritage's offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Thursday, Loudoun County needed a bit of extra time to put away Woodgrove. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 win over the Wolverines. The Captains haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Montez Dyson, who rushed for 123 yards and one score. Dyson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 118 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Shelton Brown, who threw for 182 yards and a pair of TDs.
Meanwhile, Heritage never let their opponents score on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 45-0 win over Rock Ridge. The Pride might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 20 points or more this season.
Loudoun County better keep an eye on Reed Alexander. He was instrumental in Heritage's win, rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Crimmins was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 421 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Pip Groves.
Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Loudoun County, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Dyson and Alexander. Dyson just won't slow down this season and has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 172.6 rushing yards per game. Alexander has been a dominant force too and has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 141.8 rushing yards per game.
Loudoun County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Heritage when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 31-27 victory. Will the Captains repeat their success, or do the Pride have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
